The rain is being personified because when it says the rain plays a little sleep song on your roof, it is trying to say that the rain sounds like it's making music by the sound it makes when it falls on the roof.

How rain is being personified:
The rain makes running pools in the gutter, it is trying to say that when there is a lot of water like a pool going down the street.
The hose threw up all over the flowers.The radio boombox shouted very loudly.

The rain is being personified by: that the rain makes water streams ,so its like a pool It could be still after the rain has stopped or running after it has still rained.
The April rain was being personified because rain does not actually sing to you or kiss you the author just personified it listening to it is the song and the kiss is like a big wet kiss.
